I'm Karlie France, a 21 year old (soon to be) graduate from Birmingham City University. I study Media and Communications, specialising in Public Relations. I'm a bubbly, creative individual who thrives in a fast past environment. I'm the girl with the colour coded to-do list and who loves organisation!
Throughout my degree, I have taken part in practical modules that have taught me invaluable skills, such as writing press releases, researching clients and creating event proposals for companies such as Warwick Castle and All Bar One. I have also taken a theoretical interest in Fandoms and Promotional Culture.

Alongside my degree, I undertook various work placements, where I was able to explore my creative ability and gauge an understanding of the PR industry, both in house and agency. I found I thrived in the busy day to day life of PR, where no two days are the same and developed my passion for communications and creating creative content. I was able to develop my PR skills, through creating coverage reports, managing social schedules and contacting journalists. However, I also built upon my communication skills, team working ability and time management.

Throughout my time at University, I worked as a Student Monitor in The School of Media. This is a role I maintained for the duration of my time at university and found benefited my experience, allowing me to work closely with staff and other students, in the TV/ Photography Studios and at Open Days. I now currently work as a Steward at Arena Birmingham. This job has taught me how to adapt quickly to new environments, think fast in challenging situations and how to communicate effectively with a wide range of different customers.

I am now ready to take all my knowledge and experience from my time at university, to channel them into a successful career within PR.
